Office chairs for tall people.
A chair for a tall person fails in a predictable place: the backrest stops below the shoulder blades and supports nothing above them. Everything on this page has a back of 800 mm or taller, measured by the factory, which is where a chair starts carrying the upper back of someone around 185 cm and over.
Every chair in our range is rated by the manufacturer for a load of up to 150 kg, so weight is not what separates the models here — back height is. Measure yourself sitting, not standing: floor to the top of your shoulder. Then compare with the back height listed on each chair — the method is in the seven checks.

Before you choose.
From what height do I need a tall chair?
From around 185 cm a standard back stops below the shoulder blades. Everything here has a back of 800 mm or taller. Measure yourself sitting: floor to the top of your shoulder.
Do I need a headrest?
If you lean back to think or read, yes. A 710 mm back with an adjustable headrest also works for a tall person — those are on office chairs with headrest.
I am tall and heavy. What else matters?
Seat width. Chairs with an “L” in the model code have a 510 mm seat, the widest we carry. Every chair is rated by the manufacturer for up to 150 kg.
How do I check my size?
Enter your height and weight in the chair finder and it matches them against every chair’s back height and seat width.
